Free calculators for Australians. Pick what you're looking at. Each one takes about two minutes, and all you need are the numbers from your quote or notice.
Copy the numbers from your quote into the form. You'll see the interest rate you're really paying, what the lease costs you each week after tax, and whether a car loan or cash would work out cheaper. We don't sell leases and we don't take commissions from anyone who does.
Is the residual quoted with or without GST? You pay GST on top when you buy the car at the end.
What happens if I leave my job? Usually the lease moves with you or comes back to you, so check the costs either way.
Can I use my own insurer? Insurance bundled into the budget is often dearer than shopping around.
If I don't spend the whole running-costs budget, do I get the leftover back?
What does it cost to end the lease early?
Will the lease reduce how much I can borrow for a home? Lenders count the payments as a commitment.
For an EV, will the exempt car benefit affect my HECS repayments, child care subsidy or child support? It's counted in some income tests.
Estimates only, using 2026-27 resident tax rates and the 2% Medicare levy. Assumes you pay out the residual to keep the car. Ignores the time value of cash, HECS, childcare subsidy and income-test effects. Petrol and hybrid cars use the employee contribution method to remove FBT. General information only, not financial or tax advice.
What will this investment property cost you each week?

Ask the agent
What has the property rented for over the last two years, and how long was it vacant between tenants?
What are the council rates, water charges and body corporate fees? Ask for the actual notices.
Are there any special levies planned by the body corporate?
Is it in a flood overlay? Check the Brisbane City Council flood map or your council's equivalent, and get an insurance quote before you sign.
Ask a property manager
What would it rent for today, and how quickly would it lease?
What's the management fee, letting fee and any other charges?
Does it meet Queensland's minimum housing standards, or would anything need fixing first?
Queensland transfer duty at the general rate (investors), per qro.qld.gov.au. No first home concessions or foreign buyer surcharge. 30-year loan term. Tax uses 2026-27 resident rates plus 2% Medicare. General information only, not financial or tax advice.
Is your home loan offer competitive?
The headline rate isn't the whole cost. Package fees and monthly fees add up. Enter the offer you've got and the best one you've seen elsewhere, and see what the difference costs you.
Call and ask for the retention or "discharge" team. They usually have more room to drop the rate than general customer service.
Get a written refinance offer from another lender or a broker. Lenders respond to a real offer more than a screenshot of a rate.
Before switching, add up the costs: your current lender's discharge fee, the new lender's application fee, and Queensland Titles Registry fees to release and register the mortgage.
Check the new loan has the features you use, like an offset account or free extra repayments.
Principal and interest repayments, monthly, with the rate held steady for the whole term. The comparison rate follows the Australian standard: a $150,000 loan over 25 years including fees. Doesn't include government fees, LMI or offset account benefits. General information only, not credit advice.
What's the dealer finance costing you?
At the dealership? Check the quote on your phone before you sign. Dealers quote a weekly repayment because it sounds small. Enter the quote and see the interest rate behind it, the total you'll pay, and how a loan from your bank would compare.
Get pre-approved by your bank or a credit union first. It costs nothing and gives you a real number to compare against.
Ask for the drive-away price with no finance attached. Some dealers discount less when you don't take their finance, so get it in writing.
Extras like gap insurance, warranties and paint protection can almost always be bought later, elsewhere, or skipped.
Ask for the comparison rate, not just the interest rate. Lenders have to show it in Australia.
Check what it costs to pay the loan off early.
Assumes the extras and establishment fee are added to the loan and repayments are paid at the end of each period. General information only, not credit advice.
Is this rent increase allowed in Queensland?
Queensland rent can only go up once every 12 months, and that applies to the property, even if the owner, agent or tenant has changed. Enter the dates and amounts to check a rent increase notice. Works for tenants and landlords.
Tenants can ask in writing for evidence of when the rent last went up. The owner or manager has 14 days to provide it.
Increasing rent within 12 months is an offence in Queensland. The RTA (1300 366 311) offers free dispute resolution.
If the increase is legal but seems excessive, a tenant can apply to QCAT within 30 days of getting the notice.
Based on Residential Tenancies Authority guidance as of November 2026. Some exempt lessors and special arrangements are treated differently. General information only, not legal advice. For your situation, contact the RTA or Tenants Queensland.
